A woman is being savagely treated by her husband but is far, far too afraid to say anything
even when the police arrive on the doorstep having been called by neighbours having heard screams. She has a plan to try and get away however each time someone reaches out to
her she is too afraid to even take the first step. A mother is in her car when a vehicle in
front explodes. Having seen a man kneel by her own car she hurriedly gets out with her
child. A young man is known to be breaking and entering but this time rather than the
cocky assertive boy he is desperate to be locked away, as if he is afraid of something or
someone. A wealthy business man is being subjected to fraud through his own stupid
error. His reputation could be shattered. Oh boy! A tangle of events that you can’t see
to start with however these are going to be tied up, let alone if one has anything to
do with another. I loved Maddie. One determined, tenacious young lady that you
would want on your side and as a friend. This is a tense read and difficult to read in
parts about what Grace has been subjected to- a brave subject handled well.
The more this is out there the more people are aware that many are suffering
in silence, perhaps unable as Grace, to make that first step.
A truly page turning read.
