Jamie Quinn- books one and two **********
Jamie Quinn-Death by Didgeridoo- Barbara Venkataraman- Crime/Cozy Mystery
Jamie Quinn is a lawyer of the domestic kind. Divorce, adoption, etc. are her thing.
Criminal law most certainly is not. When her cousin, who suffers from Aspergers, gets
arrested for murder, her aunt calls for her help. She makes a few calls to some of her
colleagues and does the best she can. There is no way that Adam could commit
murder- even if his digeridoo is the murder weapon. Was there? This is an easy short
(111 pages) read. I took to Jamie within a few pages- the sort of person you could
see as a friend and who is bright and breezy whilst being determined to get to the
truth. A PI who is larger than life which brings a smile to the pages. This is a
wonderful cozy mystery with great characters, a solid plot line and a smile along
the way. A treasure of a read.

Jamie Quinn Book two- The case of the Killer Divorce- Barbara Venkataraman-cozy crime

I really enjoy this series. A lead character that you can take to and comes across as “real
life” with more than just the plot line with background, emotions and that extra “pzazz”
if that makes sense. Jamie is a family lawyer which means much of her case- load is
divorces and the like. When one of her clients’ husband is found dead, not only is the
divorce case null and void but the client could be a main suspect. Jamie having lost her
mother a few years ago is now on the hunt for her father- someone who has never
been in her life and she now wants to find out more. She also bumps into an old school
friend whom she once dated. Could it reignite? A cozy mystery that is easy to get into
and nothing gory or to put you off your dinner. Warm characters with a sense of
humour and a plot to keep them all together with the extra plot line proving interest
and character. I look forward to book three.
