Three Rivers- David Blake- Crime
DI John Tanner and girlfriend DS Jenny Evans come across a body when out on the
Norfolk broads at the sailing club. It appears it has been at the bottom of the river
for several years. When another body barely alive is then found the link appears to
be someone Jenny knew when sailing as a child. Back at the office there is a new
girl in the shapely form of the DCI’s niece. Jenny notices that John has his eye on her
and really doesn’t want to lose him either as her partner in life or at work. As the
victims are rather close to home for her, Tanner is given Sally to work with on the
case whilst Jenny deals with the cold case in the background. Something that she is
not happy with. When it appears that close to home may be where the perpetrator
lies, John has to do everything in his power to prove what he knows is the truth,
even with professional standards looking over his shoulder. This is the fourth in the
series but happily stands alone (I hadn’t read the others). I enjoyed this and liked
John and Jenny. Very similar vein (setting and crime) to books by Joy Ellis and
Faith Martin. If you enjoy their books you may well enjoy this series too.
A highly enjoyable read.

Book Description:

THE DEBUT CRIME THRILLER SERIES OF THE YEAR!
“Absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t put the book down. Read it in a day.” Mrs EE Porter, Amazon.co.uk

A body caught on the end of a mast, another skewered by a rhond hook, and a chain of evidence Tanner cannot accept.

As a twisting gale howls its way over Barton Broad, DS Jenny Evans joins a handsome old friend to help rescue the crew of an overturned boat. But when they discover a body, snagged on the end of the mast, one murder soon follows another, leaving DI John Tanner with a race against time, desperate to prove that the most obvious suspect isn’t who everyone seems to think it is.

Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

Three Rivers is a totally addictive gripping crime thriller, the fourth in a chilling series of serial killer books, ones which will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd and Helen H. Durrant into David Blake devotees.
