Murder among Friends- Janice Frost-Crime

Jane Bell has just earned her stripes as a Special constable. She lives and works in

Lincoln normally as a teacher and tutor but after her husband died a few years

ago she wanted to do something different. Her first beat and she finds a dead

body- not the normal patrol of a SPC. DI Warwick appears on the scene and

instantly takes a dislike to Jane and dismisses her. They cross paths again and

Warwick finds that Jane has been doing some investigative work of her own-

and reports her as this is way off limits. This is the first in a series (Warwick

and Bell)  and looks like it is going to be a wonderful series. A group of students

have been meeting to learn how to approach women with the sole aim of having

sex with them- it is one of the leaders that Jane found dead. When another

young man is attacked and then another student, but this time a female is

killed, Jane begins to put the pieces together. I really enjoyed this, it's a nice

easy read and not being too far from Lincoln made it even more special.

I liked Jane and her tenacity for justice and her” I really can't help myself

being nosy” demeanour! A thoroughly enjoyable read. Highly recommended
