THE VISITORS by Miranda Rijks-psychological thriller 

OMG! This put me on the edge of my seat and wanting to stay up all night

to finish it!  This is a story told mostly by Hannah who is married to Daniel

and they have two children. They have renovated an old barn and turned

it into a holiday let and have had their first visitors. Daniel mostly works

away as a surgeon and it is Hannah's project with the barn. When the

second guests arrive they are rather pushy and take things for granted

and Hannah gets a bad feeling about them especially when she sees

how much of a mess her beautifully restored barn is in. Anyone who

has holiday lets knows that there are occasionally bad guests- this

takes this to a whole new level. Daniel is rather scathing of Hannah

and belittles her whenever he can which has taken much of her

confidence. Things go from bad to worse to unthinkable and

Hannah is left ot pick up the pieces.

Wow! If you like a read to take over your life for a few hours then

read on. One to slightly unnerve you and make us realise that

life can turn on a knife edge. Brilliantly written, I liked Hannah and

sympathised with her situation. A very clever, inventive plot- a

true knicker gripper!
