Coffin Cove- Jackie Elliott-Crime

Set in Canada this tells the story of a reporter, an old crime and several new ones-

could there be a link between them?. Andi Silvers has arrived in Coffin Cove for

her new job as a reporter, her last one having been a disaster- dumped both by

the job and her married boyfriend. Two sea lions have been found shot- which

is illegal and someone on the dockside when they are pulled out is a known

trouble maker from the past when the town was heavily  involved in logging.

A girl went missing and was found dead when the logging protests kicked

off. Could the two be connected? This quickly engaged me and I took to

Andi. A woman who although has learnt from her experiences of doing

things lets say not quite right, is now determined to get to the bottom of

things and put things right. A new girl in a town where anyone new, let

alone a reporter, is treated with suspicion. A highly enjoyable read and

one that little  bit different.

ABOUT JACKIE ELLIOTT Originally from the UK, Jackie Elliott has lived in Vancouver Island, Canada, for over fifteen years. She is an avid gardener and loves living on the water. COFFIN COVE MYSTERIES SERIES Book 1: COFFIN COVE

JACKIE ELLIOTT Jackie is originally from the UK, but she settled on Vancouver Island, Canada in 2004. She’s married to Bob, a commercial fisherman and accomplished storyteller – like most fishermen! It was a culture shock to swap a fast-paced city life for Island living. It wasn’t at all how Jackie had expected. She was intrigued by the pioneer spirit of their small communities, and the fight to hang on to traditional ways of living. In her experience, small towns ‘with a heart’ have claws and teeth as well and that makes the perfect back drop for a good murder! When Jackie’s not writing, she is gardening, reading, or poking around local museums, looking for inspiration. BOOKS BY JACKIE ELLIOTT COMING SOON!
