The Thames Path Killer- Biba Pearce- Crime ( previously published as THE SURREY STALKER.)

A woman is murdered on her way home from work along a towpath.

She took the short way home due to the inclement weather. DI Rob Millar

is called in as SIO- it is only his second case in this position so he wants

to step up to the plate and be efficient in finding the killer. When there

is a second murder the team now boosted by another MIT wonder if the link

could be as simple as that both victims were both engaged.

Rob is engaged  but finding himself wondering if he has made the

right choice- something strongly reflected by his fiancee. When Jo

as his DCI appears on the scene who makes him feel relaxed and

not guilty about his workload, Rob wonders if he chose the wrong

type of woman. I really enjoyed this, despite the subject matter

(only very occasional brief descriptions of what happened to the

victim). A good storyteller and a plot that kept me thinking- we get

occasional short chapters from the stalker but know very little

about him- so it's all about the detective work. My first book by

this author and I wouldn't hesitate to read more.

If you enjoy Joy Ellis and Faith Martin then this could be for you.

A very enjoyable read.
