The Victim- Gillian Jackson-psychological thriller        

Caron Rivers has dialed 999 after killing her husband. She is not only covered

in blood but has various scars. She was living a restricted life of fear and

trepidation at the hands of her abusive husband Bill. She had to cover her

tracks when she needed to go to the doctors with her wounds for fear Bill

would find out and retaliate. After him forcing himself on her she finally lost it

and stabbed him.

OMG! I couldn't stop turning the pages despite thinking I could possibly

see where this was going. It's a captivating story very well told with a depth

of character and brilliant narrative.I took to Jack, Della and even Caron at

times. A clever premise and a book to really get into
