The South Bank Murders

The South Bank Murders by Biba Pearce-Crime

Wow! A stunning read that very much kept the pages turning. Rob Miller is enjoying a family evening when he receives the devastating news that his old boss and close friend has been killed. He speeds to the scene only to be told that his team are too close to this and they are not to investigate it. Then a young man’s body is found washed up in the river. He has a strange stamp on his hand, similar to one you would get at a nightclub. Could this help identify who he is and what has happened to him? Robs team fight to investigate the murder of their colleage at the same time as investigating the young man’s death. The one thing they keep coming back to is someone with a wolf tattoo. Is this person responsible for the chief’s death and how does this link to the immegrant murders?

This is part of a series but happily stands alone (but why miss out on the others?). A fast paced read with lots going on and I found myself reading that “ just one more chapter”. I liked Rob and his tenacity and determination. A good team of characters with a little background and appropriate humour. .A wonderful, very entertaining read and I very much look forward to the next in the series.
