Drew and his wife have just moved to a rural seaside village. His wife Fern thinks it is because of the pressures he was under working in a town- a place she loved. Drew however has his own agenda- an affair he had a while back with Alice who also lives in the new village but doesn’t know of their arrival. The book begins with Fern watching an incident on the beach. Fern has a secret that Drew doesn’t know about. Can Drew rekindle Alice and will Fern find out?

I enjoyed this, it's an entertaining read and my first book by this author. I would definitely read more of his work in the future as this kept me turning the pages, ever more determined to find out what happened- to me the real skill of a seasoned author. There’s an unpredictability about both the plot and some of the characters-to me a real psychological thriller! An entertaining read with a twist or two.
