Two women are suffering domestic abuse, eventually the guilty get sent away where a prison psychologist is doing her best to get the perpetrators to  realise the error of their ways. The women know that eventually their ex partners will be released and when that happens they know their lives could be in danger. Are they able to stay safe together, two heads being better than one?

John writes with knowledge and experience from his professional background and this shines through in the skill and care of his words. There is tension and drama with twists and turns to keep the reader enthralled and turning for “ just one more chapter”. A brilliant book with a disturbing plot in that constant fear some have to live with and how that transpires in different aspects, sensitively done. Superbly crafted, a gripping plot and wonderful characters.
