The Missing Husband- Natasha Boydell- Psychological suspense

Kate lives with her husband Pete and their two girls. Pete works in

London and Kate stays home but also has a nanny to help look after

the girls as she struggled with post natal depression and it was all

getting a bit too much- something she now realises is rather an

indulgence but her getting back to work has never quite happened.

One day Pete leaves for work and doesn't arrive home. On calling

him she hears his phone ringing and on finding it finds a letter

telling her he is spending some time away to sort out his head.

Alternative chapters take us with Pete what led to this point and

with Kate how things are after he has left. Pete has a new life

having felt bored with work and life in general. Him and Kate

had drifted but Kate didn't think it was this bad and wonders

if he is ever coming home. This increasingly drew me in. It

begins as a kitchen sink type separation drama and then…….

.I won’t spoil anything. A well thought out plot that intrigued

me and kept me turning the pages. A wonderful story,

likeable characters and one to keep you thinking.
