Passport to Happiness: A feel-good, escapist read full of romance, life-changing travel and the search for happiness

Passport to Happiness by Carrie Stone- Literary fiction/travel **GIVEAWAY ***
Everly has had enough of useless dates and in the middle of the latest one decides to take
herself off on holiday. Quite why she chose Switzerland she really isn’t sure but now she
is here she intends making the most of it. She finished seeing her long term boyfriend a
short while ago and although she would like a companion she feels that there is more to
life than men. When a job opportunity presents itself she decides it is just what she
needs and an adventure is on the cards, albeit short term. We move from switzerland to
a country completely different.  I enjoyed this and it has been researched well. It is far
more than a romance/girl makes good type read. As the blurb says it is a “feel -good
escapist read” that perhaps makes us question sometimes what we do, just because,
when we could be doing something far, far different within reality. I loved that Everly
found joy and calm in volunteering in various projects. My favourite phrase for
volunteers is “ Volunteers aren’t paid- not because they are worthless but because
they are priceless”. So much pleasure can be gained by giving something back.
Something perhaps everyone should try at least once. Life doesn’t come to us we
have to go out and get it. One life- live it!
