Truth be told- Paul Teague-  Crime
An evil man. A quest for revenge. A woman who will do anything to save her
family. A truth that must be told …”
After the knife edge finish of the last book, we are back in Morecambe, both now
and in the past. Will and Charlotte’s daughter Lucia is still missing and Charlotte and
their son are now in hospital. Will is on the hunt for one of the copies of the video
that could incriminate some and put others in the clear. We alternate between the
mid eighties, early 200o’s and today. Years before hand someone went missing and
was killed. Now his whereabouts is only known by four people. Others wonder if he
provides a missing link to a circle of businessmen from the eighties and the video.
This is a tense read. Charlotte yet again is the intrepid detective and protector
however this time she does have the police on side, well sort of. I have really
enjoyed this series- something to get your teeth stuck into so to speak. This is the
third book in the Morecambe Bay trilogy and does not stand alone- why not read
the series? Book one is Left for Dead, book two is Circle of lies. All three have
earnt 5 * from me. Three gripping reads that I wanted to turn faster and faster to
find out what happened. A well thought out clever plot and stunning reads.
Brilliant.
