Guess Who by [Clerge, Nesly, Shafer, Joyce]

Guess- who- Nesly Clerge &.Joyce L Shafer -Crime
“When the phone rings at dark-thirty with more bad news, all four of your tires are as
flat as your love life, and your hair explodes when you step outside, do not ask that
“What else?” question”
Tessa Dupuis was brought up by her uncle who ran a bank. He died a short while ago
and left her his house and some money. There have been a series of robberies in the
banks in the area which are rather odd. A character, as in fancy dress, appears at the
security camera and waves, leaves a card with two words on in the vault and leaves
empty handed. On seeing an old New York times Tessa discovers that similar
robberies are happening there. She gets a friend to contact one of the detectives and
decides to present herself to help. Detective Walker has better things to do with his
time however he is being hassled to find out what is going on. Meanwhile someone
else is after Tessa. It should have been her uncle but as he is already dead she is the next
best thing when revenge needs to be served. I really enjoyed this. It’s a crime book
with a smile where the main character isn’t the detective or a private eye. It has that
something different, that something special. Done with humour and a little tongue in
cheek. A wonderful entertaining read.
