In Cold Blood- Adam Croft- Crime (Rutland crime series book 3)

A runner is found dead by early morning walkers under a viaduct. He ran a design

business and appeared to have no enemies but could he be rather coercive to

some of his staff particularly the some of the female ones? DI Caroline Hills is

back at work after major surgery and cancer treatment, determined to get on

with life and normality whatever that is. She is struggling with home life let

alone energy levels as her husband Mark is being rather protective in fact

overprotective.  When one of the co- workers of the victim Martin is found

to have rather a back history with death, alarm bells start ringing for

Caroline and the team. Is she linked to Martin's death and if so why?

I really enjoy this series. A strong female lead with a good strength of

character and a wonderful background setting  for anyone who knows

Rutland, or would like to get to know it through the pages of a book.

( worth a visit in real life, it's a beautiful county). A well thought out

plot to keep the grey matter active and a smile along the way.

I love the cafe name- “ The Daily Grind” which evokes that wonderful

coffee smell- perfect for reading one of Adams books with, and I just

had to look up the roses- stunning. A read I really got into, took my

mind to a different world and left me with a smile-

perfect, thank you.
