Heart Of Bone

Heart of Bone- Maggie James- psychological thriller-

Tom has had his ups and down in relationships and when one falls from grace that he thought was the one, he takes his own life. His mother Greer, understandably, is devastated. She knows that she was rather a “ smother mother” but misses Tom dreadfully. Tom was an organ donor and so Greer sets out to find the recipient to cling on to a part of Tom. Nathan the recipient however has his own agenda and his mother Isla whom he doesn't really get on with does her best to keep Greer away for her own good. Something Greer thinks is only jealousy. When Greer discovers Nathan’s dark side she realises she may be in danger.

OMG!! I turned and turned and turned- I really didn't want to put this down. Maggie has that fantastic skill of grabbing the reader's interest early on and then keeping them enveloped and invested. There's twists and turns and a tension running right through this. I thought I knew the who’s and why, boy was I wrong, completely wrong footed more than once (nice one!) . A stunning, captivating read. Sit down and hold on for the ride! A huge 5* from me.
