Not Mushroom For Death

Not Mushroom For Death by Helen Golden- Cosy Crime

A celebrity chef collapses at the Fenn house food and drink festival. He had been feeling off for a couple of days but thought he would be able to get through the demonstration. He is taken to hospital where it is ascertained that he has been poisoned by a deadly mushroom. He is the friend of Lady Beatrice's boyfriend Seb who is rather getting on her nerves as he appears to be courting the press and grabbing her, not the kind of treatment she is used to, having been single for fourteen years since the death of her husband James. It appears that the poisoning took place during the run through for the demonstration. Beatrice cannot believe that Seb could have done it so is out to prove his innocence and find the real culprit.

I really enjoy reading these books, they are a wonderful light-hearted break from the usual type of crime reads. The characters are easy to take to and there is humour interspersed through a well thought out plot line which keeps the pages easily turning. This is part of a series but will stand alone as the characters very easily fall into place and each one is a different mystery centred around Bea and her sidekick Perry. A wonderful light-hearted read to really enjoy.

So now, with the help of her little dog Daisy and her best friends Perry and Simon, Lady Beatrice will have to prove to Mr Know-it-all Fitzwilliam that Seb is innocent. Author Bio –
Hello. I’m Helen Golden. I write British contemporary cozy whodunnits with a hint of humour. I live in small village in Lincolnshire in the UK with my husband, my step-daughter, her two cats, our two dogs, sometimes my stepson, and our tortoise. I used to work in senior management, but after my recent job came to a natural end I had the opportunity to follow my dreams and start writing. It's very early in my life as an author, but so far, I'm loving it. It’s crazy busy at our house, so when I’m writing I retreat to our caravan (an impulsive lockdown purchase) which is mostly parked on our drive. When I really need total peace and quiet, I take it to a lovely site about 15 minutes away and hide there until my family runs out of food or clean clothes Social Media Links – Insta: www.instragram.com/helengolden_author Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/helengoldenauthor TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@helengoldenauthor
