Survive- Tom Bale- Psychological Thriller
OMG! One stunning read to keep you in the pages. Sam and Jodie and their young family
are on a dream holiday. They became parents early and so have had to scrimp and save
to have this one dream. They wanted to give the children something to remember. It
appears that noth Jodie and Sam have something to tell each other but haven’t quite
found the right time.
When they attend a drinks function at another hotel they are amazed at what stands
before them. They won the tickets and Sam gave them away to a rather snooty couple,
however they were named tickets and so the family are attending. After some dazzling
displays and spotting someone they thought worked at their hotel they ask for a car to
return. The next thing they know they are on a beach miles from nowhere. There is
nothing around and nowhere to go. All they have to do is survive. Wow! I loved this,
so much as to say one of the best books I have read this year. Tom is a new author
to me and certainly one to look out for if you like books from B.A Paris and John
Marrs . I took to the characters and whilst thinking what I would  have done may
be slightly different (don’t we all?) was totally gripped by their strategies.
Think “ I’m a celebrity” but where the prize is survival…… One stunning gripping read.
