Juniper Isle

Juniper Isle by Ava Roberts  Psychological thriller

Abby has just ditched her fiancé James as things really weren’t going right for them. She decides to go away with her best friend Grace to wind down. On going out they see Abby’s ex Micah who is about to get married and invites them to the dress rehearsal dinner. At the dinner Micah makes a speech and instead of saying his bride to be he substituted Abby’s name as the love of his life-oops! Abby starts receiving threatening notes and her things have been moved around the house. As a hurricane approaches , the group are all in the house with Abby and Grace. In the night someone starts attacking Abby whilst she is in bed. She retaliates and is horrified. How on earth are they going to explain this and who is leaving the threatening messages?

OMG! What a premise. I quickly got into this and found myself thinking “just one more chapter”. There is lots happening and a great sense of unease. Several twists and turns keep the reader engrossed between the pages. A book where I wasn’t sure if I liked the main perpetrator but just had to find out the ending. A cleverly thought out, well crafted plot line, a highly recommended read.
