The Vanishing of Class 3B *giveaway *

The Vanishing of Class 3B by Jackie Kabler - psychological thriller + GIVEAWAY ***

Ten children and several teachers/helpers go on a school trip to a wildlife park and then vanish. As they were about to leave the school, their very new minibus had a fault which meant a replacement had to be quickly found. A message was sent from one of the staff to say they would be later back than anticipated due to the initial delay. None are answering their phones and there are no reports of heavy traffic or accidents on the route. Some of the children are from famous parents and most are wealthy. Could this be a kidnapping? What on earth could have happened? Several of the parents have secrets or something they wish to hide either from the world or just their partner. When a message comes through from the kidnappers, who has the real secret and just who is going to have to pay?

This is a very cleverly thought out concept- a whole bus load of people missing rather than just one or two and hence the logistics of how this could be done. At the beginning I found myself thinking “ how on earth is this going to pan out?”. I quickly found myself invested in the story and the snippets of information along the way to try and find out the who’s and why’s.  A read that very much kept me engrossed the whole way through and one where I kept turning and turning. A brilliant premise and one very skilfully written. Loved it.

The Vanishing of Class 3B

One spring morning, a bus full of children and their teachers from a Cotswolds primary school head off on a much-anticipated day trip. But as night falls and the well-heeled parents – one or two of them famous, as well as wealthy – wait at the school to collect their weary offspring, it soon becomes clear that something has gone very wrong. The children and their teachers simply do not come back. What’s happened doesn’t seem possible. How can an entire class of children simply vanish?
