You make it feel Like Christmas- Louise Marley- Romcom
The only thing preventing Beth’s perfect family Christmas? Her family!”
The Holly family are TV legends when it comes to Christmas. Mother Agatha
has presented " A Holly Jolly Christmas” for many years about how to have
the most perfect christmas. Her daughters also love Christmas but Beth really
wants to get away from the madness that takes over every year and have just
a real family time. She misses her ex-boyfriend Aiden although they broke up
seven years ago and decides to creep away to a hotel for a couple of nights.
Nick runs a slightly odd hotel that was owned by his mother who
was a horror film star. On finding Beth gine, the rest of the family led by
sister Lucy, decide they should take the filming to Beth to make it “real”
and find themselves having to make an unplanned stop enroute. A story
of a sister wanting something she’s always longed for- the traditional
family Christmas and one who is business driven but knows it is what
the rest of her family want. A little love interest for both parties and some
realisations along the way for more than one family. I enjoyed this even in
September as it was about so much more than christmas but did make me
think of my own “wants” at Christmas which are not materialistic,
I hasten to add which is also part of this book. A fun read and a good
length book. A Christmas pick-you-up.

You Make It Feel Like Christmas
The only thing preventing Beth’s perfect family Christmas? Her family! Television presenter Agatha Holly has built her career on telling viewers how to have the
perfect Christmas. A Holly Jolly Christmas has been screened every December for
twenty years and her entire family are involved, including her daughter Beth—the
unwilling star of a thousand memes and gifs. But Beth has finally had enough of public
ridicule. All she’s ever wanted is a traditional family Christmas away from the
television cameras. If she can’t persuade her family to change,
should she consider celebrating Christmas without them?
