Murder on Sea- Jane Adams- Crime

Mac is back on the job after being off with stress after finding a child murdered

which affected him badly. He is now in a quiet seaside town where nothing much

usually happens. There has been a spate of burglaries and an old lady he

interviewed says she scared them off and it was a couple of children. The following

day she was killed. So much for the quiet seaside town. A neighbour of hers

used to play a detective on TV and has picked up quite a bit through her own

research when playing the part. Rina Martin is a character and has a house full

of guests (B&B) that she has known from years ago. She is now taking on her

TV persona and being a sleuth for real.

I quickly got into this - there is a lovely warmth of character and despite being

a crime novel there is that feel good factor about it if that makes sense. That

there is goodness in the world and people that look out for each other and

stand by no matter what. A wonderful, highly recommended read. 5*
