Meet Me in Cockleberry Bay by Nicola May- Rom-com

Rosa is now married although her husband Josh works in London most of the time saving
for their future. She has the little corner shop which was left to her by an unknown
benefactor which she has turned into a gift and pet store. She now also has Hot dog the
dachshund to keep her company. When Josh starts acting strangely around Sara who
owns the cafe and gets calls and messages for her Rosa begins to think that maybe
something is going on. Something more than friendship despite him telling her how
much he loves her. When Josh walks out after an argument Rosa is confronted with
her own issues. A childhood of insecurities has not left her in a good place and she
knows she needs to sort herself out before Josh returns. Some wise words in here
(and quite philosophical at times too in a good way). “ When someone else’s
happiness becomes your happiness then that’s true love”. This is so much more
than a lighthearted rom-com. It’s a book of hope, of seeing your own weaknesses
and sometimes having to put yourself first despite wanting to help others.
You can;t help others if you yourself are down. A truly inspiring read.
