Missing in Wales: A gripping Welsh detective thriller with a wicked twist (Detective Gabriella Darin Book 1)

Missing in Wales by Jenny O'Brien-Crime  *Giveaway*+ free book 22-26th July

Izzy is ecstatic when her daughter Alys is born, a much longed for baby. Whilst pregnant
she met a new friend Grace, who was also attending the antenatal classes. When Alys
is one week old, Izzy’s live in partner Charlie takes her out alone for the first time to
give Izzy a few minutes rest. After a couple of hours Izzy is worried as they should only
have been 30 minutes or so. The police are called in but find no trace of either baby or
father. Five years later and Izzy hasn’t given up the search. she thinks she has seen
Grace who despite being heavily pregnant disappeared around the same time,
something the police don’t appear to have looked into. She has also started receiving
mysterious postcards. The police are tentatively reopening the case but feel there is
little to go on. What they haven’t bargained for is an amateur sleuth with a vested
interest. Where is Alys and why has Charlie started getting in touch after all this
time? I felt for Izzy and her ever worsening predicament. A well written book with
a wonderfully thought out plot with a couple of twists along the way. A highly
entertaining gripping read.
