Victory For The East End Angels by Rosie Hendry
Winnie, Frankie and Bella are back. Its 1944 and they have just gone through the blitz.
They are not only worried for their own safety but that of loved ones away at war. All
three work at Station 75 as ambulance women working 24 hour shifts transporting
casualties to hospital and very often digging them out from the rubble of a raid.
This is the fourth book in the series and whilst it could be read alone it would
make more sense having read the others first and why miss out on three other
cracking reads?. Frankie is getting married, Bella has an unexpected new beau
and Winnie finds that she is pregnant- not something she was planning quite yet.
I love this series. It’s a wonderful easy read with great characters and I learn
something along the way each time. A  simple way to learn about history in a
very digestible way. The writing is such that you get to know the characters very
quickly (that’s some skill) and quickly develop an empathy for them. I
appreciated the letter from Rosie at the end as it gives the last few characters
closure which was nice to know and that it’s not the end for Station 75.
I very much look forward to the new book. A wonderful entertaining read.

Author Bio – Rosie Hendry lives by the sea in Norfolk with her husband, two children, chickens
and a snake. She's worked in a variety of jobs from fruit picking, waitressing, teaching and as
a research scientist but has always loving reading and writing. Starting off writing short
stories for women's magazines, her stories have gradually become longer as her children
have grown bigger. Listening to her father's tales of life during the Second World War sparked Rosie's interest
in this period and she's especially intrigued by how women’s lives changed during the war
years. She loves researching further, searching out gems of real-life events which inspire
her writing. When she's not working, Rosie enjoys walking along the beach, reading and is grateful
for the fact that her husband is a much better cook than her. Website: www.rosiehendry.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RosieHendrybooks/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/hendry_rosie
