We are back in time and Jimmy Bliss has just started as a detective having
served several years in uniform. He is keen but sensitive that he may be
there because of his father and he would rather have earnt it under his own
steam, something others are keen to point out to him when he doesn't quite
tow the line. John, Paul, George and Ringo are planning a heist, a carefully
planned operation to crack a safe. One of their number isn't just under
one alias he is under two- its Jimmy aka Vincent the safe cracker- his first
undercover operation. He is partly living a different life which has been
carefully planned to make sure there are no cracks in the cover but he is
understandably nervous and wants to bring in more than “The Beatles”
as there is talk of a higher man. A wonderful read and a lovely
insight into Jimmy’s beginnings and how his clever mind works
(which may also reflect on Tony!). I could read and read Bliss, he is
such a comfortable character, someone I would love to know for real!
My avuncular friend and definitely someone I would
want on my side. A truly brilliant read, loved it doesn’t cover it.

Author Bio:

Tony J Forder is the author of the bestselling DI Bliss crime thriller series. The first seven books, Bad to the Bone, The Scent of Guilt, If Fear Wins, The Reach of Shadows, The Death of Justice, Endless Silent Scream, and Slow Slicing, will be joined in December 2020 by a prequel novella, Bliss Uncovered.



Tony’s other series – two action-adventure novels featuring Mike Lynch – comprises both Scream Blue Murder, and Cold Winter Sun.

In addition, Tony has written two standalone novels: a dark, psychological crime thriller, Degrees of Darkness, and a suspense thriller set in California, called Fifteen Coffins, released in November 2020.

Tony lives with his wife in Peterborough, UK, and is now a full-time author. He is currently working on Bliss #8, The Autumn Tree.

Holmes, Marple and Poe are PI’s and have just started their own agency together. Each one has particular talents although all are highly attuned to finding out the whys and wherefores to solve a crime. Holmes for example is hyperosmic and can detect scents amongst the normal ones the rest of us can. Are they their real names?
