Lucy Mathers Goes Back To Work by Julie Butterfield Rom Com #Giveaway ***
Lucy and Will have two small children. Lucy has been looking after them since they
were born having given up her position as an account manager in a marketing
company. When Will is suddenly made redundant and she is offered her old position
back it makes sense for them to swap places. Will doing the childcare and Lucy back
at work, just until Will can find a new job which she hopes will only be a matter of
weeks. When she arrives back at work she is greeted with enthusiasm by most of
her colleagues. Grant however has taken her place, her office and her accounts and
treats her like a junior. I enjoyed the premise of this book- a woman going back to
work and then missing her children and a husband who really didn’t know/think
that household things don’t magically do themselves. I did think that the kids were
rather spoilt (2 choices each of cereal for toddlers ? and choosing which veg they
eat? Rod and back come to mind). Sorry I digress. I did enjoy this however at times
I wanted to bang the heads together of the two main characters for what was right
in front of their noses- then again that can be real life- where you can’t see what
is right in front of you as you are so caught up in the bigger picture. I loved Julie’s
other books (Did I mention I won the lottery and Did I mention I was getting
married) which were both 5* from me. This one slightly less but still an
enjoyable read. A tale of balancing real life.

Lucy Mathers Goes Back To Work Lucy Mathers was once the golden girl of Simcock & Bright. Four years later, she’s a stay at
home mum with two adorable children, has swapped her Louboutins for rabbit slippers and
spends her day making crustless sandwiches and colour co-ordinated lunches instead of
signing up high profile clients. When her husband is suddenly made redundant, there is panic in the Mathers’ household.
With a mortgage the size of the national debt and a credit card balance that’s in danger of
toppling, Lucy reluctantly decides she must return to work. So she digs out her old power
suits from the back of the wardrobe and leaves Will to become a house husband. But
sitting in Lucy’s old office is Grant Cassidy, suave, handsome and ruthless and with no
intention of letting Lucy walk back into the number one job. At home, despite his breezy declaration that swapping boardroom battles for toddler
groups would be a doddle, Will’s belief that parental issues could be solved with
forward planning and a spread sheet soon falls by the wayside. With both Will and Lucy struggling to adapt, could their previously happy marriage be
developing some cracks? Purchase Links UK - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lucy-Mathers-Goes-Back-Work-ebook/dp/B07WJJJVW5 US - https://www.amazon.com/Lucy-Mathers-Goes-Back-Work-ebook/dp/B07WJJJVW5 Author Bio – Julie Butterfield belongs to the rather large group of 'always wanted to
write' authors who finally found the time to sit down and put pen to paper - or rather
fingers to keyboard. She wrote her first book purely for pleasure and was very surprised to discover that
so many people enjoyed the story and wanted more, so she decided to carry on writing! Social Media Links – @juliebeewriter www.Juliebutterfield.co.uk Giveaway to Win a Paperback copy of Lucy Mathers Goes Back To Work (UK Only)
