Dead Bad- Helen Durrant  5*
A body has been found gruesomely murdered and looks like it may bear the marks of
a serial killer- one who was put away several years beforehand. DI Calladine is feeling
rather rough and when he gets sent home with suspected shingles he gets more of a
rest than he was bargaining for. When a staggeringly large amount of money appears
in his account it’s looking more and more like he has taken a bribe. Calladine? Really?
Helen has the knack of drawing you into her books very early on and characters that
you can relate to.These are always wonderful easy reads. Nothing to put you off your
dinner too much, just a relaxing detective story that keeps you inveigled  in the pages
with the occasional smile to boot. A highly recommended read,.
