The Guilty Ones- Joy Ellis- 4*
DI Jackman’s sister in law has committed suicide. She didn’t appear unhappy in any way
and the family home is one of children and happiness. When another “suicide” is found
soon afterwards things don’t add up and Rowan wants to get to the bottom of it not
only for his own and his brothers sanity, but for his two small boys now left without
a mother. Joy instantly gets you both into the story and into the characters- a gifted
talent- that makes you want to turn the pages.An excellent plot (as ever) that keeps
moving along nicely and well rounded characters with enough backstory to give
interest without detracting from the main theme. Another highly enjoyable read.
